It's 'Hooray For Hollywood' as head clown Joel Osteen assembles an all-star lineup to dazzle and entertain the goats during his Easter service this year at Lakewood Church
Things have degraded to such a point in the end times
Laodicean Church age that Jesus warned about in the last days, that many of the mega-church leaders have stopped trying to pretend they stand on the bible and preach the gospel, and are making to move to flat-out entertainment. Such is the case with head clown Joel Osteen and his upcoming Hollywood spectacular Easter 'church' service. Let's take a look at the 'guest list', shall we?
"And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Tyler Perry made his
fortune playing Madea, a sassy, foul-mouthed, "christian" woman in a dress, and in 2011, Perry was listed as the highest-paid leading man in Hollywood. I can only imagine what type of 'word of truth' he will 'preach' on Sunday. Then we have Mariah Carey, a woman who made her fortune with her amazing voice and always-exposed cleavage. Then we have Kanye West with his
Sunday Service deception that we have well documented and do not need to replow that ground again. You know what you won't have? You won't have the blood-bought
gospel of the grace of God anywhere within 500 feet of Lakewood Church unless some street preachers decide to crash the party. One can only hope.
Charles Spurgeon, seeing the spiritual decline in his day and looking forward said this:
"A time will come when instead of shepherds feeding the sheep, the church will have clowns entertaining the goats!" Spurgeon was referring to, of course, the lukewarm, focused on money and prestige Laodicean Church Jesus tells us will be the last stage of the professing Christian Church on the earth in the days before
the Pretribulaton Rapture. That day is here, falling away complete. Almost makes you wonder if perhaps one of the reasons for the Rapture is because the Church stops preaching the gospel and joined the world. Something to think about.
Joel Osteen Easter Sunday Service To Feature Kanye West, Mariah Carey, Tyler Perry
FROM DEADLINE: Although the pandemic’s social distancing protocols prevent large mass gatherings this Easter Sunday, Pastor Joel Osteen’s Lakewood megachurch has an all-star plan for the faithful. The virtual Easter Sunday service will feature Kanye West, Mariah Carey, and Tyler Perry, plus the Lakewood choir. The pre-taped program will air online and will be available to the public.
Joel Osteen told TMZ that Carey reached out to him about joining the service. Carey will perform her song Hero as a salute to first medical professionals and first responders working during the pandemic.
“I have known Mariah from years past, and we’d talked about doing some things,” Osteen said. “They actually contacted us because she wanted to show some support and honor to the first responder… and do her part to bring hope and uplift the nation.”

What Kanye West will do is unclear. He previously appeared at the church for an Osteen interview session last November. However, West’s Sunday Service has been a popular draw in its various incarnations around the country.
Finally, filmmaker Tyler Perry, a past Lakewood church speaker, will address the church. Osteen did not reveal the subject matter.
“It just all came together,” Osteen told TMZ. “I don’t know that I did it too much, but it just kind of fell into place.”
Also featured in special prayer segments will be Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo and Houston Fire Chief Sam Peña. Joel Osteen himself will also be remote for the service. The service will be recorded this Friday, April 10.
