On behalf of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue, I am writing to you on the occasion of the feast of Vesakh to offer my heartfelt greetings. It is my prayer that this annual feast of the birth, enlightenment, and passing away of Gautama Buddha may bring joy, serenity, and hope to the hearts of Buddhists throughout the world. 2. The current world situation, tragically marked by the COVID-19 pandemic, challenges the followers of all religions to collaborate in new ways at the service of the human community. In his Encyclical Fratelli tutti, signed in Assisi on 3 October 2020, Pope Francis reiterated the urgency of a universal solidarity that allows humanity to overcome together the difficult crises that threaten it, because “no one is saved alone” (Pope Francis, Fratelli tutti, 32). 3. The Vesak greetings, of which we celebrated the 25th anniversary last year, have highlighted many of the values we hold in common and the wisdom that supports the collaboration we foster, especially in addressing times as hard as the present one. The suffering caused by the COVID-19 pandemic has made us aware of our shared vulnerability and interdependence. We are called to discover and practice the solidarity enshrined in our respective religious traditions. As Pope Francis says, “ancient stories, full of symbolism, bear witness to a conviction which we today share, that everything is interconnected, and that genuine care for our own lives and our relationship with nature is inseparable from fraternity, justice and faithfulness to others.” (Pope Francis, Message for the World Day of Peace, 1 January 2021). 4. The Buddhist teaching on Brahma Viharas (Four Heavenly Abodes or Virtues) offers us a timeless message of solidarity and active care.  In speaking about mettā (loving kindness), it exhorts followers to extend boundless love to all. “As a mother even with her life protects her only child, so let one cultivate immeasurable loving-kindness towards all living beings” (Mettā Sutta). As the Buddha taught, practitioners are equally encouraged to “make haste in doing good deeds; one should restrain one’s mind from evil; for the mind of one who is slow in doing good tends to take delight in doing evil” (Dhammapada, 116). 5. May this dramatic situation of the COVID-19 pandemic strengthen our bonds of friendship and further unite us in service to the human family, adopting “a culture of dialogue as the path, mutual cooperation as the code of conduct; reciprocal understanding as the method and standard” (Pope Francis, Fratelli tutti, 285). 6. The Bible tells us about an Upcoming Pole Shift! A Devastating "Geographic" Pole Shift! Most who have studied the scriptures are aware that during Noah’s time there was a Geographic pole shift knows as an Axial Pole Shift. Before Noah, the scriptures describe a perfectly temperate climate without rain, and hence the Earth was only watered from the dew from heaven (Gen 2:5-6). Before the flood, the entire Earth was in thermal equilibrium without storms (or rainbows) as its North/South poles were parallel to the Sun’s North/South pole. We don’t know precisely how God caused Noah’s flood, but what we do know is that the waters on and beneath the Earth came up and covered the Earth (Gen 8:1-3; Deut 5:8; Ps 33:7; Prov 30:4). Except for 40 days and nights of rain, the waters did not come from above the Earth, as some have theorized as there is no scripture that indicates that (sometimes called the ice canopy theory). Whatever caused the flood caused the entire planet’s axis to shift 23.5 degrees from the plane of the ecliptic; meaning, that the North/South poles of the Earth were no longer parallel with the Sun’s North/South pole but at a 23.5 degree angle. This angle causes uneven heating of the planet as it rotates on its axis each day which causes storms and all the existing weather patterns we have since. The Scriptures tell us that we will experience the same type of an event during the Lord’s return, and most believe that His return is imminent. We are told, "But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be." (Matt 24:37). Our Lord is revealing to us that there is going to be a very specific type of pole shift, and John describes this disastrous event for us: "And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. And the kings of the Earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?" (Rev 6:14-16) John is giving a perfect description of a Geographic pole shift known as a Mantle-Slip Pole Shift! This type of shift is far more devastating than can possibly be imagined as it literally rips the planet apart, causing thousands of "Grand Canyons", tearing the Earth down to the molten mantel, to be created worldwide in a matter of hours with tens of thousands of magma eruptions causing ash to cover the atmosphere and entire planet. All of civilization will be destroyed in a matter of days, including all major cities. In this type of shift, the entire crust of the Earth moves very quickly OVER the molten mantle below it at its weakest point which is the crustal-mantel interface which is currently most strongly connected to mountains and islands. By saying that "every mountain and island were moved out of their places" you’re clearly indicating this event. This event will destroy all civilization we have today and is described many times throughout the Scriptures. Here are but a few of the scriptures which describe the effects of this single event: Earth: - Every mountain and island were moved out of their place (Rev 6:14) - The Earth shall remove out of her place (Isa 13:13) - The Earth is moved Exceedingly (Isa 24:19) - The Earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard (Isa 24:20) - The Earth shall be removed like a cottage (Isa 24:20) - There was a great earthquake (Rev 6:12) - and signs in the Earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke (Acts 2:19) - The Sea and the Waves roaring (Luke 21:25) Heavens: - I will shake the heavens (Isa 13:13) - The stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light (Isa 13:10) - I will show wonders in the heaven above (Acts 2:19) - The sun shall be darkened (Mark 13:24) - The sun shall be turned into darkness (Acts 2:20) - The sun became as sackcloth of hair (Rev 6:12) - The stars of heaven fell into the Earth (Rev 6:13) - The moon shall not cause her light to shine (Mark 13:24) - The moon shall be turned into blood (Acts 2:20) - The moon became as blood (Rev 6:12) Result: - The Earth is utterly broken down (Isa 24:19) - Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the Earth (Luke 21:26) As we look forward to our Lord’s return, keep in mind that we are not meant for His Wrath if we are His and follow Him. The New Testament provides God’s plan of salvation and the manner in which we should live our lives to serve him, and if we do, we will become his adopted children and live in Heaven with him eternally. BreakPointreported that some of the people leaving the church are joining a growing demographic known as the “nones.” Religious “nones” consist of people who reject all religious affiliation, and some of these people are also known as exvangelicals. The overall movement is called “deconstruction,” meaning deconstructing one’s faith and leaving the church. Many who are “deconstructing” have spoken out about their experiences getting hurt by people inside the Church. Others have cited their rejection of biblical teaching on sexuality as the reason they are disassociating. Max has been speaking out for some time about his resistance to a particular version of Christianity. In an interview in December with Decent Christian Talk podcast, Max explained where he is on his journey in deconstructing. “I like to call it deconstruction, reconstruction,” he said. “Any person that's really changing every day, which we do, you're going to deconstruct or you're going to reconstruct. So it's a combination of both of those things,” he said. "I've been deconstructing for decades. I've always been progressing, as you can say, and then sometimes I regress. But I think where I'm at right now is I've really gone on a journey to find out what I truly believe in by reading a lot, thinking a lot, keeping my eyes and ears open.” The musician has always been vocal about his thoughts online. So is anyone surprised that that two of the world's top billionaires who make their fortunes with money, Thiel of PayPal and Musk of Bitcoin, are now racing to bring to market the first human-implantable brain chip? There is no turning back at this point, and the only question is not if this will happen, but how soon it will happen. It's happening. Brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) acquire, analyze, and translate brain signals into commands that are linked to the devices performing the desired actions. FROM ANALYTICS INDIA: Peter Thiel who co-founded Paypal with Musk in 1998 is backing Blackrock Neurotech with an undisclosed stake in the company. The company, which is  headquartered in Utah, has been serving the neuroscience research community with hardware and software since 2008. It is working on  brain-computer interface (BCI) devices that could help improve people’s cognitive abilities. Blackrock Neurotech CEO Marcus Gerhardt in his conversation with CBNC stated that Blackrock has been generating profits since 2015 despite the tech having a limited market. This was the first time the firm had taken any significant venture capital funding. Brain Computer Interfaces or BCIs, which are only a few millimetres long, are designed to assist the disabled; to restore the functionality of people with neuromuscular disorders such as ALS , cerebral bias, stroke or spinal cord injury. When it comes to BCIs, Neuralink stands tall. The company has demonstrated its capabilities by making a monkey to play pong using a chip planted on its skull. Whereas, Blackrock Neurotech has claimed success by testing its device on 28 patients across Europe, China, and the U.S. Meanwhile, Neuralink is hoping to start with human trials later this year. Brain-computer interfaces (BCIs) acquire, analyse, and translate brain signals into commands that are linked to the devices performing the desired actions. BCIs do not use normal neuromuscular exit pathways. The main objective of BCI is to help restore the functioning of people with a neuromuscular disorder. The miniature sensors are placed in areas where the activity needs to be monitored by the doctor. If a patient experiences difficult hand movements, the device would be implanted in the premotor cortex. Once in place, electrodes attached to the device record brain activity (i.e. what the patient is thinking), which are then sent to a computer. Recently a team of researchers at Stanford University connected a brain-interface device to a paralysed man’s nervous system. The software quickly translated data from the BCI to convert people’s handwriting thoughts into text on a computer screen. The man was able to write twice as fast as he could using an earlier method developed by the scientists from Stanford. The study was conducted by Jaimie Henderson and Krishna Shenoy, who have worked together since 2005 on brain-computer interfaces. According to Andrew Jackson, professor of neural interfaces at Newcastle University, Blackrock Neurotech still has a long way to go. In his conversation with CNBC , he stated that Neuralink’s device is far more capable than Blackrock Neurotech as it can record more brain cell activity as it has more channel’s (recording sites) than Blackrock’s BCIs. The device is able to record multiple points of the flexible electrodes that are sewn by the surgical robot into the brain as compared to Blackrock which only has a single recording site. Another point of difference is Blackrock’s patients have wires coming out of their skin. Now both companies are working on wireless devices. But, Blackrock trumps Neuralink in one category.  The Thiel backed company has been researching long before Neuralink was conceived. However, the fate of both companies will be decided by their commercial viability and clinical efficiency. So far, the patients didn’t have to pay for the procedures for Blackrock’s BCIs as part of the clinical trial. It will be interesting to see how the company transforms the device to be commercially available by next year. READ MORE
