| While biblical calendar patterns do not carry the same weight as direct Scripture, they nonetheless give one pause. In the New Testament the word coincidence is used only once (Luke 10:31). It is translated from a Greek word, synkyria, which is defined as "a confluence that occurs by God's providential arrangement of circumstances." That is to say, where God is concerned, there are no coincidences. |
