Then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple, And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.  Jesus said unto him, It is written again, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. ( Matthew 4)
I hope the President of the United States is among those who actually denounce the incomprehensibly foolish boasting of South African false Prophet Rodney Howard Browne.
What did He boast about? Why Should the President denounce him?
Browne, who is currently a Pastor in Florida, mocked the whole idea of social distancing, and announced that " Social distancing is for pansies",
'The only time the church will close is when the Rapture is taking place': Florida pastor mocks coronavirus social distancing orders and says his mass sermons will continue since his followers are 'revivalists, not pansies'
He also claimed to have turned the Zika virus away from America, and that he has plans to do the sam to the Corona Virus. There is a name fo this kind of presumption in Scripture, it is called "Tempting the LORD".
Why Should President Trump denounce this 'prophet'? Because there are pictures of Howard Browne laying hands on the President in the Oval office, along with his friends Paula White and other Christian leaders and prominent pastors. Browne' presumption is dangerous, in the time of a serious , daily plague, an he is making fun of serious efforts to contain the plague.
Where does Howard Browne arrive at such Hutzpah/ He and White and others subscribe to a strain of Heresy called the Manifested Sons of God, which later took the name "Word of Faith " movement, and most recently the NAR, (New Apostolic Revival). The belief is that in the last days , certain Christian leaders are going to discover that Jesus has given his church virtually all power and authority over sickness , disease and over the Devil, and is waiting for us to recover that power and use it, to set the world right and to defeat all sin and evil.
This 'revival' will happen after the restoration of the office of Apostle, and of Prophets in the church who by their own decrees will excercise power and authority in the name of Jesus. Howard Browne is one of these prophets. He became famous for being an instigator of the so called "Laughing Revival" in the 1980's, which brought Pentecostal churches not states of "Spiritual Drunkenness" , in which people literally crawled on their hands and knees and barked like dogs, banged their heads on the stages and staggered and slurred under the influence of Howad Browne's "anointing".
Howard Browne literally called himself "God' Bartender" and induced pastors in the thousands into trances an drunken states of consciousness in public. He is a dangerous mystic and certainly a false prophet. No He is mocking the ida of quarantine, and precautions about distance.
I believe in Divine healing and that God can do anything He pleases, but I also believe in the Sovereignty of God. We (Christians) are not Supermen, we are actually petty weak and frail, yet we have this treasure in earthen vessels. Furthermore this Plague is serious. Quarantine has precedent in the Bible. Howard Browne did not say America from the Zika virus as h said in the article, and He certainly will not say us from Corona.
He is misusing scripture, ( He has a long history of doing just that) just as the Devil did in the gospel when he used Psalm 91 to try and tempt Jesus to force God to catch him if He jumped off of the Temple. Jesus would have none of it.
"It is written, You Shall Not Put the LORD thy God to the Test!"
Howard Browne reminds me of the false prophets in Jeremiah's day, who accused His messagings of surrender to the Babylonians as being effeminate, and unworthy of Israel. They had a more 'masculine' prophecy... thus they neutralized Jeremiah's message and the people suffered and died for listening to false prophets. Bware of the fake Brqvado of false Prophets!
