Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is taking on extensive new executive powers following his outright election victory in Sunday's poll.
Parliament has been weakened and the post of prime minister abolished, as measures approved in a controversial referendum last year take effect. Defeated opposition candidate Muharrem Ince said Turkey was now entering a dangerous period of "one-man rule".
Mr Erdogan polled nearly 53% in the most fiercely fought election in years. Mr Ince received just 31%, despite a lively campaign attracting huge crowds. Mr Erdogan, 64, has presided over a strong economy and built up a solid support base. But he has also polarised opinion, cracking down on opponents and putting some 160,000 people in jail. Congratulations have come in from around the world, though some Western leaders have been slow to react. Russian President Vladimir Putin talked of Mr Erdogan's "great political authority and mass support".
What do the new powers mean?
In his victory speech on Monday morning, Mr Erdogan vowed to bring in the new presidential system "rapidly".  The constitutional changes were endorsed in a tight referendum last year by 51% of voters. They include giving the president new powers to:
§  directly appoint top officials, including ministers and vice-presidents
§  intervene in the country's legal system
§  impose a state of emergency
Some critics argue that Turkey's new system lacks checks and balances. Mr Erdogan says his increased authority will empower him to address Turkey's economic woes and defeat Kurdish rebels in the country's south-east. Mr Erdogan was prime minister for 11 years before becoming president in 2014. Under the new constitution, he could stand for a third term when his second finishes in 2023, meaning he could potentially hold power until 2028.

'Progressive values are still here'
By Mark Lowen, BBC Turkey correspondent
Despite 90% of the media being pro-government and largely shunning the opposition, the president's posters and flags dwarfing any challenge on the streets, the election being held under a state of emergency curtailing protests, and critical journalists and academics being jailed or forced into exile, Mr Erdogan only got half of the country behind him.
"We are living through a fascist regime," opposition MP Selin Sayek Boke told the BBC. "But fascist regimes don't usually win elections with 53%, they win with 90%. So this shows that progressive values are still here and can rise up." For now, though, this is Mr Erdogan's time. With his sweeping new powers, scrapping the post of prime minister and able to choose ministers and most senior judges, he becomes Turkey's most powerful leader since its founding father Ataturk.
He'll now hope to lead the country at least until 2023, 100 years since Ataturk's creation. And a dejected opposition will have to pick itself up and wonder again if, and how, he can be beaten.

How did the opposition react?
Mr Ince, from the Republican People's Party (CHP), said the election was unfair from its declaration to the announcement of the results. "We have now fully adopted a regime of one-man rule," he told journalists after the vote. But he said he did not dispute the official results. The other four candidates on the ballot fell below 10% of the vote.
How was the election conducted?
Security was tight. Ahead of the vote, concerns had been raised about potential intimidation and electoral fraud. Turnout was high at almost 87%, the state broadcaster reported. Observers from the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) said that although the election offered a genuine choice, Mr Erdogan and his party enjoyed an advantage.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan And His AK Party Wins Yet Another Rigged Election As Turkey Takes Giant Step To Becoming A Dictatorship

Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his ruling AK Party took a comfortable lead in Turkey's presidential and parliamentary elections on Sunday, according to preliminary partial results, boosting the president's hopes of extending his 15-year rule.

EDITOR'S NOTE: Recep Tayyip Erdogan is an enemy of Israel  in particular as well as being an enemy of freedom in general. The election he and his minions the AK Party won today are not exactly what you might call a 'free and fair' election result. Erdogan views himself more as a messianic religious leader than a political one, even going so far as to say he wanted to model his ruling style after that of Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party. Many Christians believe that Erdogan could be the Antichrist. I don't know if I would go that far, but, he sure has a lot of Antichrist-like moves and moments. The only thing stopping Erdogan from becoming a full-blown dictator is the fact that Turkey has no natural resources and as such remain dependant on financial and economic relationships with the West who would immediatly apply crippling sanctions if he were to take Turkey fully rogue. But if Erdogan ever gets that piece of the puzzle figured out, then it will be Germany 1933 all over again
The initial results had been expected to give Erdogan and his Islamist-rooted party a strong lead and it was expected to shorten as more votes are tallied across the nation of 81 million people. But an AK Party official said the party expected Erdogan to win more than the required 50 percent to avoid a second round runoff. An unexpectedly strong showing by the AK Party's alliance partner, the nationalist MHP, could also mean Erdogan securing the parliamentary majority he seeks to govern freely.
Sunday's vote ushers in a powerful new executive presidency long sought by Erdogan and backed by a small majority of Turks in a 2017 referendum. Critics say it will further erode democracy in the NATO member state and entrench one-man rule.
With 70 percent of votes counted in the presidential race, Erdogan had 55 percent, ahead of his closest rival, Muharrem Ince, of the main opposition, secularist Republican People's Party (CHP), on 29 percent, broadcasters said.
However, an opposition election platform which is doing its own vote tally based on results gathered by its observers at polling stations gave Erdogan only 43.5 percent and Ince 33.9 percent, based on nearly 12 percent of overall votes cast.
In the parliamentary contest, the AK Party had 45 percent and its MHP ally nearly 12 percent, based on 61 percent of votes counted, broadcasters said. The CHP had 21 percent and the pro-Kurdish Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) 9.7 percent.
Both the AK Party official and an HDP lawmaker said they expected the HDP to exceed the 10 percent threshold to enter parliament. Turnout nationwide was high at around 87 percent for both contests, the state broadcaster said.

FRAUD FEARS

CHP party spokesman Bulent Tezcan criticised state media coverage of the election results, saying they were trying to manipulate the public's perception of the results in order to demoralise Erdogan's opponents and encourage election monitors to stop scrutinising the counting of votes.
Tezcan said the CHP's own voting tally suggested that support for Erdogan remained below the 50 percent required to win the presidency in the first round.
Opposition parties and NGOs have deployed up to half a million monitors at ballot boxes to ward against possible electoral fraud. They have said election law changes and fraud allegations in the 2017 referendum raise fears about the fairness of Sunday's elections.
Erdogan said there had been no serious voting violations.
"Turkey is staging a democratic revolution," he told reporters after casting his own vote in Istanbul on Sunday. "With the presidential system, Turkey is seriously raising the bar, rising above the level of contemporary civilisations."
Erdogan, the most popular but also divisive leader in modern Turkish history, argues the new powers will better enable him to tackle the nation's economic problems - the lira has lost 20 percent against the dollar this year - and crush Kurdish rebels in southeast Turkey and in neighbouring Iraq and Syria.
Investors would welcome the prospect of a stable working relationship between the president and the new parliament, although they also have concerns about Erdogan's recent comments suggesting he wants to take greater control of monetary policy.
Erdogan has declared himself an "enemy of interest rates", raising fears he will pressure the central bank to cut borrowing costs after the election despite double-digit inflation.
He brought forward the elections from November 2019, but he reckoned without Ince, a former physics teacher and veteran CHP lawmaker, whose feisty performance at campaign rallies has galvanized Turkey's long-demoralised and divided opposition.
Turkey held Sunday's elections under a state of emergency declared after a failed military coup in July 2016. This state restricts some freedoms and allows the government to bypass parliament with decrees. Both Erdogan and Ince have said they will lift the state of emergency as president.
Erdogan blamed the coup on his former ally, U.S.-based Muslim cleric Fethullah Gulen, and has waged a sweeping crackdown on his followers in Turkey, detaining some 160,000 people, according to the United Nations.
The president's critics, including the European Union which Turkey still nominally aspires to join, say Erdogan has used the crackdown to stifle dissent. Erdogan says his tough measures are needed to safeguard national security. source

The Dangerous Teaching Methods of Kenneth E Hagin - But Even More Importantly Today Are The Same Teachings Of His Chief Acolyte THE EVER DANGEROUS FALSE PROPHET KENNETH COPELAND!!!!!

The Dangerous Teaching Methods of Kenneth E Hagin- Junker Jorge

A fellow blogger, ex word of faith-er put this up on his blog. It is very much worth the time to read or to pass on (as he requests at the end of the article).  I will add that anyone following the whole latter rain-kingdom now/dominion-manifest sons of god garbage which is also evident in the healing room ministries of Cal Pierce, and all those under NAR  fall into this teaching. It does not have a foundation in the word of God!  It is the foundational teaching of what I warn about here. We also see the comparison in the article I recently put up, No Sweat.
The Dangerous Teaching Methods Of Kenneth E Hagin (links to article and the blog of Junker Jorge)
I sat under the teaching of Kenneth Hagin for fourteen years. Over these years I read most of his writings, attended his school, sat in his classes and listened to hundreds of his sermons on both CD and tape.
KENNETH E HAGIN
Nothing in my experience as a Christian has damaged me more. I am not alone. Millions of others have been led a stray by this very popular and false teacher who has reproduced himself in other ministers such as Joel Osteen, Creflo Dollar, Mark Hankins, Frederick Price, Michael Murdock and Joyce Meyers.
His teachings are extremely dangerous because of four basic reasons:
1) He teaches Scripture out of context. He only uses Scripture to fit his doctrines and stories. Not reading Scripture in the context of which it was written is the fastest way into error.
2) Many of his writings were stolen from EW Kenyon. Kenneth Hagin plagiarized massive amounts of Kenyon’s writings. EW Kenyon started out as a Free Will Baptist, but became a passionate student of Christian Science and New Age teachings. He attended a New Age college and was seen at many lectures. He blended Christianity with New Age, Christian Science and Eastern Religion. Hagin then plagiarized these writings for years.
3) Kenneth Hagin also taught the Bible in light of the eight visitations that he claimed to have received from Jesus Christ. Joseph Smith also claimed extra revelations. Kenneth Hagin taught for decades, using his claimed visions to back up his spin on Scriptures. The Apostle Paul warned again ts this in the First Chapter of Galatians. Hagin taught on many things which are never taught in Scripture.
4) Kenneth Hagin claimed to be a Prophet and claimed to have been to Heaven where he received special revelation and instruction from Jesus. Kenneth Hagin would warn his students and followers with many horror stories and testimonies from those who would not receive him. This has resulted in thousands of honest and sincere Christians to become brainwashed and manipulated. The Word of Faith has become a dangerous cult that controls it’s members with spiritual intimidation and erroneous, manipulative teaching from Scripture that has been twisted out of its intended context.
If you know anyone that is caught up into this dangerous cult, then please paste this article and send it to them.
